LOST: Seasons 1-6

This show was recommended to me by a co-worker. He said that if I liked shows that were a bit philosophical and followed the lives of individual people, that I would love LOST. He was right. There is no other show quite like it. In my opinion, the first season was the best because it was just about people, not weird sci-fi stuff (although I happen to like weird sci-fi stuff). The music is so overly dramatic and intense sometimes that it makes me laugh. No matter what type of shows you are into, check out LOST - at least the first season.

Monk: Seasons 1-8

This show deserves five out of five stars. If you enjoy cop flicks or mysteries and are a bit of a perfectionist, this show is for you. The acting is superb and the writing is excellent. The main character, Adrian Monk, has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which makes the show different and fun. The music by Jeff Beal is top notch; there are a lot of contemplative vibraphone, and clarinet lines, spiced up with very well-recorded and played double bass pizz.

The Pretender: Season 1

I just finished watching Season 1 of "The Pretender." I give it four out of five stars. The music is very eighties, which can be a pro or a con; I enjoy some eighties music. The plot is your typical "genius escapes a secret corrupt scientific research company and searches for clues to his past." If you like that story line, this show will be a fun watch.
